Dr. Robbie Melton, Interim Provost and Vice President of Technology Innovations at Tennessee State University (TSU) joins us to share how you can help shape the future of AI with your cultural relevance and innovative skill in a field that is growing at a very rapid pace. Dr. Melton completed her Ph.D. in Administration at the University of Michigan and Ed.S., M.Ed., B.S at Wayne State. She is a tenured professor, who also serves as the Interim Provost-Vice President of Academic Affairs and Technology Innovations at TSU, and she was selected as one of the 2023 Top 50 Women Leaders in Education. As a global researcher and international consultant for SMART Artificial Intelligence (AI), Dr. Melton has received many awards for her work developing online education and emerging mobile SMART technologies. She advocates for open education resources (OER) worldwide and empowers underserved groups to embrace technology. Her research focuses on best practices with mobile devices, artificial intelligence, immersive VR/AR learning, and academic esports in teaching and learning.
