When you were a child with a vivid imagination, what did you dream about? In this week’s episode of Our 4th Annual Divine 9 Series, we are joined by Elijah Williams, Lambda Xi Chapter Initiate of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. As a young person raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Elijah loved to build things using his LEGO set. With his creative imagination and a desire to design and engineer, he grew up and decided to leave his hometown to focus on a major in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in African American Studies at Arizona State University (ASU). Find out how this popular engineering program has contributed to his desire to pursue a career in Theme Park Engineering and why he is excited to vote and ensure he has a say in the outcome of his future during this year’s election. ⁠ Elijah is currently completing his major in Mechanical Engineering and his minor in African American Studies at ASU in Tempe, Arizona. He is a member of the Theme Park Engineering and Design Club and he serves as Treasurer for the Black African Coalition. Born in Las Vegas and raised in Atlanta, Elijah aspires to become an intern in the Mattel Theme Park Internship Program. As a Spring 2024 Initiate of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., he was fortunate enough to attend the Congressional Black Caucus and he looks forward to taking advantage of the various networking opportunities within his brotherhood of engineers.
