As we wrap up our series honoring our veterans, Lt Commander Vincent Escobedo of the U.S. Coast Guard joins us to encourage you to recognize the challenges of your life as merely stepping stones to your greatness. In his pursuit to gain the confidence needed to be successful in this world, he found a career that suited his calling and desire to be near the ocean. LCDR Escobedo completed his Master of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He currently serves as the U.S. Coast Guard’s Military Acquisition Workforce Manager for the Office of Acquisition Workforce Management. His duties include management of all officer and enlisted billets assigned to COMDT (CG-9), Specialty Manager for the Acquisition Officer Specialty Code, and the Advanced Education Manager. His efforts contribute creating a trained and optimized military workforce in support of executing the Coast Guard’s acquisition projects. He has been a certified Program Management Professional (PMP) since 2017.
