As we continue to highlight Mental Health Awareness Month, the recent Buffalo and Uvalde Massacres have shaken our communities to the core. Many students continue to demand change while continuing to suffer from social anxiety and thoughts of suicide. Today, we invite back one of our favorite therapists, Alexander Dorsey to discuss ways to address these anxieties and the lack of meaningful interactions that have occurred over the last two years due to the pandemic. Find out about the new initiative to improve suicide prevention and do your part to help save a life! Alex completed his MA in Mental Health Counseling, along with his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. He works with children, adolescents and adults to address their emotional needs. Alex specializes in working with clients experiencing concerns related to depression and trauma. He believes that teaching clients how to process and cope with their emotions allows them to flourish in life. Alex also owns Mending Minds Professional Clinical Counseling, a private practice that caters to African American males of all ages.
