In today’s episode, Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Jasmine Winbush offers ways to help you find inner strength and inner power after experiencing trauma. This Miami University graduate believes healing comes through relationships. She incorporates spirituality in her therapeutic practice to help her clients process through their feelings. Instead of feeling like “it’s all your fault”, Dr.Winbush helps you make meaning of your trauma and learn to develop a sense of security within. Dr. Winbush completed her Doctorate of Psychology at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. She completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology at Loyola University Maryland and received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Latin American Studies at Miami University. As a relational psychotherapist, she believes that relationships often play a role in our suffering and, yet, also play a crucial role in our healing. Relatedly, the relationship between the therapist and client is of utmost importance and requires trust and authenticity for both parties involved. She uses a variety of individualized, eclectic approaches to help each person meet their goals and needs. Her therapeutic style is warm, direct, empowering, and collaborative.
